Ron Hunt Photography bio picture
  • Welcome to my little corner of the InterWeb!

This is quite simply, A work in progress. Much like life, we are never actually finished, but rather are simply turning another page of life.

I simply have a love of photography and editing software of all types. Inside you will find different pieces of my work that I hope brings you just a little happiness.

I believe in photography as a raw display, but also firmly believe we should use all tools in our toolbox. If you are the next Ansel Adams, by all means stay the purist and refuse to edit in software. For the rest of us we have software to help create what I hope is Enjoyable Art.

My blog will mainly be random ramblings, usually of whatever photo I choose to upload and discuss.

In my mind a photograph comes from the camera, and Photographic Art comes from the heart and mind.

Facebook PARTY!!

More and more we’re connecting through social media, so we decided to create a fun, inexpensive way for you to look your best to all your old and new online friends. On 8 August, Ron Hunt Photography hosts a Facebook party with some new graduates and current high schoolers.

Come and enjoy a welcome break from your hectic week. We’ll treat you to a cold beverage, some chips and even a hotdog off the grill! All while you take a moment to relax and chat with friends. Get some friends together and join us. For only $15, you’ll get an image you’d be proud to share on the World Wide Web. Bring a friend or two and take some group shots to remember forever. The portrait sessions will go in 10 minute increments to ensure everyone gets the images they desire, and you’ll have a choice of backgrounds to create a casual, personality-driven image. We will also be taking a number of candid shots as well.

A few days after your portrait’s taken, the image will be uploaded to the Ron Hunt Photography Online Album, and we’ll email you a link so you can tag yourself and drag the image to your desktop to use on your social networking or e-dating sites.

Keep an eye here and on our Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1738313357&ref=name, for updates. You’ll be glad you did.

What IS “High Key”

Using a white background, often referred to by professional photographers as “High-key photography”, is a specialty of our studio. We can work with you to coordinate light clothing and light props with the white background, so the darkest element in the portrait becomes your faces and expressions. That’s what catches your eye. When the high-key portrait is placed on a white wall, the personalities of your children and family really “pop out”, and are suspended in time.

Sacramento Photographer, William Foster - This can be really helpful for clients to know ahead of time what to expect. High key photography can be quite eye catching and fun.

Knoxville Wedding Photographer - Awesome idea with this well worded explanation.

Happy 4th of July!!

I had the pleasure of spending the evening with one of my daughters, and we managed to get some nice photos of the fireworks. These were taken at the Apple Valley display. I hope you enjoy, and had a very fun/safe holiday!

Bekkie - Ron these are absolutely gorgeous. I just love #57. What a great background that would make. It looks like little flowers. Just awesome.

New Client Gallery Store released!!

It is an exciting time indeed! I really disliked my old online store so much that I stopped using it. It was hard to use and didn’t give my clients the experience they deserved. That is NOW OVER!!!

My new gallery is now online and being used for current and future clients. Clients will recieve a private gallery code to their own area. It has many wonderful features that allow much more efficient photo viewing as well as full capablity for building and completing orders in a fully functional shopping cart.

It was hard work, but well worth it. I certainly hope you enjoy! It can be reached above at the Client Gallery link.
